Amarillo Globe-News, Jan. 3, 2003 Richard Carl Hope QUANAH – Richard Carl Hope, 70, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jason Stidham officiating. Burial will be in Quanah Memorial Park by Smith Funeral Home.
Mr. Hope was born May 11, 1932, in Clarksville. He married Fay Cabler on June 6, 1952, in Clarksville.
Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Judy Bishop of El Paso, Cristy Prozeller and Holly Hall, all of Quanah, and Jana Schulz of Vernon; two sons, Richard B. Hope of Hanover, Kan., and Jerry Don Hope of Birmingham, Ala.; two brothers, Vernon Hope of Lubbock and James Hope of Quanah; two sisters, LaFerne Austin of Bell Gardens, Calif., and Ester Holt of Wolf City; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to American Cancer Society.
