Glenn E. Smith Sr., 55, of Quanah, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, in Quanah. A memorial service has now been set for 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at First Christian Church in Quanah with the Rev. Wayne Hollinshead, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Quanah.

He was born Sept. 19, 1956, in Hobbs, N.M., a son of the late Sherman Hill and Eddie Beatrice Collins Smith. A longtime resident of Quanah, he was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Smith was a longtime self-employed truck driver.
Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Hegwood of Midland; two sons, Jeff Smith and Glenn Smith Jr., both of Quanah; and 10 grandchildren.
