Billy Jack Scribner, Sr., age 81 of Anna, TX passed away September 30, 2010 at his home. He was born on May 12, 1929 in Medicine Mound, TX to John Elmer and Dora Estelle (Wren) Scribner. Billy married Juanita Grace McWherter on November 24, 1951 in Clovis, NM. He was a member of the Baptist faith and the American Legion. Billy served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Scribner is survived by his wife, Juanita Scribner of Anna, TX; three sons, Billy Jack Scribner, Jr. and wife, Carol of Howe, TX, Paul Wesley Scribner of Anna, TX and Roy Wayne Scribner and wife, Debbie of Anna, TX; one daughter, Amy Lynn Cundiff and husband, Parrish of Anna, TX; ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, John Elmer Scribner, II and wife, Carol of Alaska; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the Flesher Funeral Home Chapel in Van Alstyne with Joe Lightner officiating. Pallbearers will be Matt, Cody, Clint, Paul, Trey and Kirk Scribner. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Melissa, TX. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, October 4, 2010 at Flesher Funeral Home.
