Obituary: Podrovitz Services Held

Mrs. Ola Podrovitz, 70, of 305 West Fifth Street, was found dead in her home at approximately 4:30 p.m. Thursday, August 27.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 29 at Knowles Memorial Chapel. Burial was in the Quanah Memorial Park under the direction of Knowles Funeral Home.

Mrs. Podrovitz was born July 4, 1911 in Eldorado, Oklahoma. She married Steve Podrovitz on October 1, 1933. He preceded her in death on August 25, 1972.

Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Eula Slaton, of Quanah; three daughters, May Spradlin of Pueblo, Colorado, Ann Harmon of Quanah, and Pat Belcher of Quanah; three sons, Steve Podrovitz of St. Louis, Missouri, John Podrovitz of Amarillo, and George Podrovitz of Olney; three brothers, Dick Slaton of Quanah, Bill Slaton of Childress, and W.R. Slaton of Childress; five sisters, Bessie Cooper of Quanah, Lois Collins of Childress, Ila Hanks of Hobbs, New Mexico, Mrs. Ray Westfall of Gainesville, and Quava Golden of Quanah; 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
