Elda Mae Parmer, 68, of Abilene, died Friday, March 22, 2002, at a local medical center. Services will be Tuesday, at 2 p.m. in the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 Hwy 277 South, with Reverend Rodney Watson officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park, under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Homes, 5701 Hwy 277 South. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
Elda Mae was born July 22, 1933 in Medicine Mound, Texas, to Thomas and Sarah Mulkey. She was a graduate of Coleman High School. She married I.A. Parmer and was a homemaker and a member of Lytle South Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, I.A. Parmer, in 1998; and a son, Martin Parmer in 1997.
She is survived by a son, David Green of Dumas; a daughter, Kathy Tidmore of Abilene; two step-daughters, Gayle Corry of Irving and Patsy Devereaux of Arlington; and nine grandchildren.
