NORTON, Facoline: 1917 – 2011

Facoline Messer Norton, the sister of Ernest Hollis of Snyder, died Tuesday, Feb. 20.

Funeral service for Mrs. Norton, 83, was set for 2 p.m. today in the Travis Baptist Church with the Revs. Phillip Shelton and Tom Posey officiating. Burial was to follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Memphis Funeral Home.

Born in Acme, she had been a resident of Memphis most of her life where she owned and operated the Messer CafE. She was a member of the Travis Baptist Church and the Rebekah Lodge.

Mrs. Norton was preceded in death by two husbands, C.J. Messer and Russell Norton; and a son, Charles Messer.
Survivors also include a daughter, Jaussetta Martin of Memphis; two stepsons, Larry Norton of Childress and R.L. Norton of Denver; two stepdaughters, Jo Thompson and Pat Norton, both of Amity, Ark.; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
