Mollie L. Lewis, 92, of Quanah, died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011, in Vernon. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Larry DeLong, minister of the Quanah Church of Christ, officiating, assisted by Jerry Brewer. Interment followed in Quanah Memorial Park under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

She was born Dec. 30, 1918, in Bone Cave, Tenn., a daughter of the late Andrew and Mattie Mae Johnson Davis. She married William Clopton Lewis in August of 1940 in Quanah. He preceded her in death on April 17, 2002. A longtime resident of Hardeman County, she was a homemaker and a gardener. She was a member of the Chillicothe Church of Christ, where she taught Bible class, and was a former 4-H leader.

Survivors include a daughter, Karla Moore of Lubbock; a son, Max Lewis of Quanah; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
