Vernon resident Edith Law, 73, died on Friday, Sept. 1, 2000, in Childress. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m., Monday at the Childress Cemetery, with, the Rev. Johnny Robertson, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Childress officiating.

Law was born March 6 1927, in Medicine Mound, Texas. She married Raymond Law on June 8, 1946, in Childress. He preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 2000.

She worked as a medical lab technician in Conroe, Childress, Floydada and Archer City. She also worked as a nurses aid at Turners Nursing Home for five years.

Survivors include a daughter, Diane Catherall of Burkburnett a sister, Clara Lesley of Vernon; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
