E.D. Buster Harris, 91, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012 in Childress. Services were held Tuesday, Jan. 10 at Childress Church of Christ with Trey Morgan officiating . Burial followed in Goodlett Cemetery.

Buster was born Aug. 19, 1920 in Lazare, Texas to John and Carrie Thomas Harris. Buster married former Helen Kyle, June 27, 1942. She passed away March 26, 1957. Buster later married Emmalene Vonessen on Aug. 1, 1964. Emmalene died Sept. 4, 2004.

Buster farmed in the Kirkland and surrounding area all his life.

He is preceded in death by two wives, Helen and Emmalene, three brothers, Jack, Norman, and Rex and one sister, Sue Holtman.

Survivors: Daughter – Mary Goodin and husband, Henry, of Eldorado, OK;  Two Sons – Ken Harris and wife, Brenda of Kirkland; Jim Harris and wife, Barbara, of Kirkland; Two Brothers – John T. Harris and wife, Jean of Amarillo; Sam Harris and wife, Leone, of Amarillo, eight Grandchildren – Shane Harris, Ronda Harris Smith Lisa Harris Lee, Michelle Harris Thomas, Josh Harris James Harris, Melissa Goodin Sill, and Eddie Goodin; 11 Great Grandchildren; 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
