ANDERSON, Billy E.: 1924 – 2010

Billy E. Anderson, 86, of Fort Dodge, died Thursday May 20, 2010 at the TrinityRegionalMedicalCenter.

Funeral services for Billy Anderson will be held at 1:30 p.m.Tuesday May 25, 2010 at the GoodShepherdLutheranChurch with the Reverend Lyle Hansen officiating.  Interment will follow in the North Lawn cemetery with military honors conducted by the Walter Porsch V.F.W. Post 1856.  Visitation will be held Monday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home.

Billy was born March 19, 1924 the son of Paul E. and Anna L. Anderson in Acme, TX.  On June 21, 1943 Billy was inducted into the United States Navy and served his country until his honorable discharge on March 12, 1946.  On February 21, 1948 Billy was united in marriage to Jean May Scott.

Billy was a man of many stories and was ready to entertain with one at any given time.  He was a dedicated family man, great father and husband.  He enjoyed fishing and just spending time at home.  Billy spent hours watching and feeding the birds.  Billy was an avid reader on the news, keeping tight eyes on the political views.

Those thankful for having shared in Billy’s life include his wife Jean, seven children; Linda (Dave) Oester of Fort Dodge, IA, Wanda (Mike) Wiese of Fort Dodge, IA, Paula (Tom) Moran of Cedar Rapids, IA, Pamela (Mike) McClaren of Terre Haute, IN, Billy J. (Terri) Anderson of Callender, IA, Debra Anderson of Omaha, NE, Diana (Craig) Rodriguez of Hammond, LA, one sister; Pauline (Bill) Zeigler of Shreveport, LA, 25 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.

Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter; Anna Marie Ashmore, one brother; Jimmy Anderson and one sister; Mildred Evans.
